In a backstage segment on Smackdown Naomi was being interviewed by Dasha Fuentes about how she felt about Natalya not shaking her hand after she won the elimination match at battleground, It did not take long for Natalya to show up and told Naomi she disgraces the women’s title by making it look like a toy and how she has no respect for the legacy of the hart family, Natalya also stated she will take the title from her and restore honour back to the women’s division at SummerSlam.

The Queen of Harts is coming for the throne.

Veteran Superstar Natalya outwitted and outlasted four of SmackDown’s most talented females in her 38th pay-per-view match (one shy of Trish Stratus’ record), teeing her up for a fateful battle with SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi at SummerSlam in Brooklyn.

Initially, however, the alliance between Tamina and Lana seemed as though it would be difficult to beat. Not only did the duo run roughshod over the competition, but Tamina saved Lana from not one, but two Dis-arm-hers from Becky Lynch.

Becky Lynch single handedly took care of that fearsome duo, however, submitting Tamina with the Dis-arm-her and then doing the same to Lana in short order. Ironically, and cruelly, Becky’s night ended just seconds later when Natalya rolled her up with a handful of tights and dispatched her from the contest, bringing the bout down to the heiresses of the Hart and Flair dynasties.

In a rematch of the confrontation that provided one of the first sparks of the Women’s Revolution, both prodigies unleashed the full scope of their arsenals. Natalya focused on submissions, locking Charlotte in a mangling armbar, while Charlotte opted for finesse, hoisting The Queen of Harts into the air and powerbombing her way out of the hold.

The rough-and-tumble lessons of the Hart Dungeon ultimately brought Natalya the win; when Charlotte went up high for a moonsault, Natalya raised her knees to block the move and roll Charlotte headfirst into the turnbuckle, putting her down to punch her ticket to SummerSlam in Brooklyn NY

Naomi, who observed the bout from the commentary table, was quick to offer a handshake to her new challenger, but The Queen of Harts Natalya turned her back instead. The Women’s Revolution may have been all about mutual respect, but Natalya has clearly had enough of ceremonial victories. This time, she’s out for a definitive one.

Congratulations to our girl Natalya.

In a Backstage segment on Smackdown Live Natalya, Lana, Tamina, Charlotte and Becky Lynch was with Shane McMahon discussing who will have a competitive match on Smackdown before their elimination match at this Sunday’s Battleground. With almost everyone wanted to face Lana, Natalya was stirring the pot so to speak suggesting that Charlotte should face Becky Lynch. Charlotte then stated that wont be competitive because she always beat Becky, Becky did not take that likely so Shane made the match between Charlotte & Becky Lynch.

During the match Natalya was on commentary, After the match was over Becky defeated Charlotte via submission. Lana and Tamina made there way ring side to attack both Charlotte & Becky but not before Natalya attacked Becky first from behind. With every superstar for them self at battleground Natalya was about to put on the sharpshooter on Tamina when Lana made the save and then only to get kicked by Tamina.

Natalya was part of a backstage segment with Shane McMahon when he was talking to Naomi on who will be her next challenger for the women’s title. After being interrupted by Charlotte, Becky, Natalya, Tamina and Lana thinking he was just going to give Lana another title shot Shane made a match for WWE Battleground as it will be Natalya vs Charlotte vs Becky Lynch vs Tamina vs Lana in a five way Elimination match and the winner will face Naomi for the title at SummerSlam. But as for tonight Shane made a tag team match as Natalya & Tamina will take on Charlotte & Becky Lynch.

There was still some unfinished business to resolve between the “welcoming committee” and their opposition. Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch teamed up to square off against Natalya & Tamina, as the four Superstars all began to eye WWE Battleground’s 5-Way Elimination Match to determine the No. 1 contender to Naomi’s SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.

Both teams laid it all on the line, and it looked as though Becky & Charlotte might be on their way to a victory. However, Lana, who was offered a helping hand from Tamina just last week, returned the favor by distracting Charlotte, allowing Tamina to score the victory for her and Natalya with a dastardly kick to Charlotte.

After all the controversy and conjecture, all five Superstars in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match left it all out in the ring in their quest to become the new Ms. Money in the Bank.

Following dazzling and daunting displays of chance and athleticism, including vicious suplexes on the floor, ladders collapsing underneath them and Natalya and Charlotte brawling through the crowd, it was the recently banned James Ellsworth who dashed to the ring and attempted to have a repeat of WWE Money in the Bank and reward the briefcase to Carmella, but Becky Lynch prevented it.

The Irish Lass Kicker tossed Ellsworth off the ladder into a very compromising position and appeared as though she was bound to capture the Money in the Bank contract. However, the ever-resourceful Princess of Staten Island put the brakes on Lynch’s ascent, first seemingly injuring Lynch’s leg and then assaulting her with a steel chair, taking her out and climbing the ladder for the win to officially become Ms. Money in the Bank … again. – WWE.com

Tonight on Smackdown Natalya and every Superstar in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match had the chance to plea their case throughout the evening,  Daniel Bryan called each competitor to the ring to deliver a decision.

Daniel Bryan explained that although there had been interference in prior Money in the Bank Matches, the level of anarchy that occurred on Sunday was especially egregious. Clearly irritated with Daniel Bryan’s stance, James Ellsworth tried to interject his thoughts into the proceedings, even suggesting that Daniel had “gone soft” since becoming a dad, but he was quickly shut down when Daniel threatened to fire him if he made another peep. From there, the Superstars argued their case, including Carmella, who still believed that she was lawfully Ms. Money in the Bank, no questions asked.

Daniel Bryan combatted that claim, however, saying that controversial and unprecedented results fall to the discretion of the General Manager, per the WWE rulebook, and he refused to allow such an extraordinary and historic match end this way. Therefore, Daniel Bryan announced that it will be a rematch and all five Superstars will make history yet again next week, when they compete in the second-ever Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on SmackDown live.
